Day 59 of 366
My fever broke this morning thankfully. The youngest and I did run a couple of errands but only because we were almost out of milk. All afternoon he has been a lap monkey and not leaving me alone at all. Well, he just crawled back into my lap and fell asleep.
Day 57 of 366
Sunday I started to come down with some type of bug. I don't remember a whole lot of the day but I do remember DH playing Zelda in the afternoon while the kids watched

Day 54 of 366
This morning we woke up to 3.8 inches of very wet snow on the ground. It has been melting all day and is currently at 37F right now.
Day 53 of 366
Wednesday, I baked. It was the first day that DH had to back to work after the long weekend. I did a pork butt roast in the crockpot, and baked bread and cookies for supper.
Day 52 of 366
Tuesday we had a home inspection so they could flush the hot water heater, check the furnace and test the smoke detectors. We cleaned out the fridge.
Day 51 of 366
Monday was another quiet day but we did go out and about to do a few errands. I did get to work on my afghan though.

Day 48 of 366
Today started out sunny and beautiful. It looked like it was going to be an all around nice day. I just looked outside though (4 pmish) and this is what I saw.

Day 46 of 366
Right now it's snowing out, but I know that it's not going to be enough to matter. Our local news station posted this on their status this morning:
Annual "snowfall derby" and bragging rights for the snowiest winter for Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse
Buffalo: 29.1 inches
Rochester: 41.1 inches
Syracuse: 36.2 inches
While to most of you, that might not mean much and be reason to rejoice, but this is an area that normally gets 100+ inches on average a year. This is going to be my last winter here (made official yesterday by email), so I was expecting to get a good dose of snow. Oh well, as long as it doesn't hit us next year at the new place.
The photo today is the inside of the cake I made yesterday. This summer/spring I'm going to try to either make a rainbow cake or a 7 layer cake. It should be fun & enjoyed by all who get to taste it.

Day 45 of 366
Today I made my first every 4 layer cake. It was much easier to make that I thought it would be. The only issue I have is that the red & one of the pink layers looked the same once they were out of the oven. I'm planning on doing this again this summer but as a rainbow cake. I will take a photo of it once it's cut.
Day 44 of 366
Monday, the youngest and I ran to Walmart to get Valentine's stuff. Here is the chocolates that I got for the family
Day 43 of 366
Sunday we had lunch at the PX so DH could go and get a haircut afterwards. I got Charley's which is my favorite. No photo today since I forgot to take one.

Day 42 of 366
We finally got snow again. While I hate the snow, it is winter and I expect to have some on the ground. The weather gurus estimated that we got 3.3 inches and to expect another inch.

Day 38 of 366
There is nothing better than warm Chocolate/Butterscotch Chip M&M cookies to snack on when it's cold outside.

Day 37 of 366
We are having a heatwave again up here. Normally we have several feet worth of snow. This year I can see the grass. I still will not miss this place once we are gone though.
Day 36 of 366
Sunday was another lazy day for us. We went out for breakfast, ran an errand and then came home to relax. We also put the bunkbeds back together since the girls wanted to share a room again (they have had separate rooms since we moved in).
Day 35 of 366
Saturday was a PJ day for us. DH was gone to a snowshoe race and the rest of us didn't leave the house. It was wonderful. We also watched the Green Lantern after DH did get home. It totally was not worth our time to watch.

Day 32 of 366
Last night we had company. It was a friend from our last duty station which we hadn't seen since June 2010. It was wonderful to see him again and catch up to what was going on.
